North East Humanists maintain close links with the 5 universities in our region. In recognition of the importance attached to supporting students of all ages we have a Universities Representative, Chris Haine. We also offer complimentary membership of the NEH to students who belong to Humanist Societies within their respective university or college.

Assistance is available to students wishing to establish their own Humanist Societies or who would like a speaker to attend university events.

Most universities now offer a very comprehensive range of Student Support but if you find there is a lack of non-religious pastoral care at your own university we would be pleased to help you find appropriate support, whatever your circumstances.
